Imperial Beach BLACKOUT / 2011 / San Diego county /So. Ca. / Arizona / Mexico

Imperial Beach and San Diego residents experience a power outage extending from Arizona to Mexico. Imperial Beach citizens maintained a calm, civil, and compassionate disposition toward one another in this unfortunate event in August of 2011.

The tip of land that you see is the southernmost end of California, the opposite side is north to L.A..
Only cash was accepted, stranding vehicles and closing all franchised vendors. Traffic lights were not working, stranding many on the highways.
At the end of the video, you'll see two brave citizens attempting to guide traffic. They were summarily dismissed.:( They were successful for a good hour.:)
All joking aside Vigilant Citizen and Alex Jones commented on the impending power outages planned by President OBAMA two months before the incident, despite the official cause of the "Malfunction".
