  • Steve Winwood has just 21 turned years of age here. They don't make musicians like this anymore.

  • Wow, one of my all time favorite songs. Thanks so much for making it available.

  • dac10012, you have done it man, this is fuckin great. thanx so much, i love it !!! ;)

  • This is a prime example of Clapton at this stage in his life. He has often said that after the Yardbirds, Mayall, Cream, etc. he was desperate to get away from the whole "Clapton is God" thing and move into background. Here he demostrates his ability to be subtle, yet still tranform a piece of music into a work of art. His minimalist approach was perfect for this number. Of course, they are all stoned completely out of their gourds, but then so was 99% of the audience.

  • Ric Grech uses foam under his strings to mute them and create a more Upright Bass tone. the early Fender Jazz basses had string mutes built into the bass under the bridge cover to create than "Jazz" tone from the factory. Nowadays, most studio players still use foam under the strings when trying to get the vintage fender tone. Works like a charm!

  • @metart93 So they don't vibrate too much and hit the thing at the end of the bass making a buzzing sound. I do that for my guitar

  • Can anybody tell me why Ric Grech (the bass player) has a piece of foam underneath his strings?

  • all i know is now i know why claptin stoped making music w/stevie, he probably looked over and said "god damn, thats e-nuff of this dude, he is seriously making me look like a queer"

  • @THOUSEoftheALMIGHTY

I agree ! Not only that but twelve or fifteen years ago we probably wouldn't be seeing this rather rare vid - only nowadays, with this outpouring of video on youtube, does something like this so historic and here-to-fore extremely rare vid come to light. Stop to consider that, people. Keep the Internet Free from Gov't Interference (and their conjugate lovers- the Music Industry) !!!
