Bro i drum at a small church where the people that sing aren't that very good so they get off time alot. Ive been playing there all my life an that has messed up my timing. Now i have trouble staying on time with a metronome. If the metronome is in my ear i have no problem but if its like in band where its far away i have problems. Do you have any advice? Thanks man. @iandrummer07: Hey man. I would day, always try to have it in your ear so you can hear it. Get some headphones and set yourself up. Sometimes the singers don't do us any favours with how the phrase the songs.
