On April 2, 2008, local NBC affiliate WJAR Channel 10 interviewed 3 medical marijuana patients and Rhode Island Patient Advocacy Coalition Executive Director Jesse Stout, just before the RI Senate heard a bill to allow a non-profit Compassion Center to grow and distribute medical marijuana for patients.

I'm honestly proud of the state troopers officially remaining neutral on this matter. I'm glad that they hopefully see their role to enforce Rhode island's laws whether it be to ensure the safe operation of the compassion centers, or the protection of the patients. The Federal Government has no place telling Rhode Islanders how we should live our lives.
