@WONDAWOMAN I will look at the book (but I will be very wary of the boldface warning against "trusting anything in this book"). And I recommend to you James Frazer's Folklore in the Old Testament. He doesn't set out to prove anything, just show where the Old Testament stands in relation to numerous tribal legends.

@drhoobad I have read EXODUS, I do READ IT before celebrating Pesach & Unleavened bread.. IT IS GIVEN TO YSRAEL and is FOR YSRAEL, not Gentiles, not Christians, not the Uncircumcised. Exodus is NOT prophetic and has NOTHING to do with the fables of the so-called New Testament. IT WAS HISTORICAL and Passover is an ETERNAL memorial instituted by YHWH & given to YSRAEL not the WORLD to be kept throughout ALL Their generations as a MEMORIAL.

@drhoobad I don't care what PAUL or whoever penned Corinthians wrote.. I am not mistaking ANYTHING.. Passover was given to YSRAEL under COVENANT BY YHWH. I am aware of the myriad of incorrect delusional meanings that Christians attempt to assign to HOLY THINGS given to Ysrael by YHWH under COVENANT.. Christian delusions and fictional mythology cannot change what YHWH ordained.. an ADULT HUMAN MALE cannot be ANYONE'S passover lamb or sacrifice for sin ACCORDING TO YHWH HIMSELF.

@WONDAWOMAN 1st Corinthians 5:7 "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:" Passover has a different meaning for Christians. You are mistakenly thinking of Jews. By arguments of biblical excegesis, the Exodus passover is seen as essentially a phophetical nod toward Christ's sacrifice (He was crucified during the passover, you see), as antetypes.

Question for thinking people... How can "Christ" be the Passover sacrifice and sacrifice for sin, when the PASSOVER LAMB SACRIFICE had  NOTHNG TO DO WITH SIN. It was to remind the Israelites that instead of their 1stborn dying in Egypt, a lamb was put in its place. The death angel passed over. But it had NOTHING to do with a sacrifice for sin. Read Exodus, read what they were to tell their children about WHY they did this.That was the day of atonement. Where did HE SAY he was the Passover Lamb?
