  • @irving94 hi, could u let me know what the battey life is like for the storm 2?

  • A Blackberry with no apps has messaging, browser, clock, tasks and notifications, memo pad also with notifications, Calendar also with notifications, media player, word processing, power point, excel, flashlight, gps, and password keeper.

The iphone has some of these tasks built in and i do have to admit the new ones have a cool compass, but the battery life on the iphone sucks so bad that if you do need the compass you're probably out of battery. BB's battery can last 2 days no problem.

  • It isn't part of the phone so it's just as secondary as a jailbreak procedure, which is FREE, and can be done at home in 20 seconds. And don't be so ridiculous. A blackberry with no apps is just as bare bones as an iPhone with no apps. iPhone lacks built-in multitasking, and Blackberry lacks built-in storage (which has several advantages besides just being there).

  • Lol if that 256 mb was for everything, then there is going to be a problem. You trying to exclude SD cards and external storage is stupid. Point is the Blackberry does not need as many apps because it can do many things by itself. It doesnt need 8GB worth of apps in order for it to be useful.

  • Yes but I can simply restore my iPhone before going into the apple store and they would still replace it for me. I even went in there WITH it jailbroken and they saw but theys still replaced my headphones for me because they didnt care. Multiple employees saw.

Also, its not a weak argument, because the point is that you can't get a certain thing out of the box.. Built-in storage is very valuable to many people, even moreso than third-party multitasking.

  • That means what you do with your iphone is not condoned by apple and therefore it is not a valid argument. What you do with an iphone is your business, but apple will not acknowledge it because they want their customers to void their warranties so when something happens they cant simply go in and exchange it.

And I would definitely love 8gb of memory in by BB, but i dont need it for apps. I use an SD card for all my media, and I find that to be plenty enough so thats a pretty weak argument.

  • Apple doesn't LET anyone do that, infact they block it with every release, but the iPhone has such a great software development community that they re-hack it open every single time no matter what apple does to try to eliminate it.

And yeah I'd like to see your blackberry have at least 8GB of storage built-in.. SD cards don't count.

  • Thats pretty damn stupid for Apple to let some hackers hack into their software when they should have included it in the first place. Doesnt that make the better producer RIM? And all those multi-tasking functions you can only get with jail-breaking comes with any Blackberry, fresh out of the box.

  • I know that. You can jailbreak an iPhone in 20 seconds and download backgrounder. It's pretty damn simple to get backgrounding on my iPhone. I even have a pre-inspired card UI for multitasking too with proswitcher.

  • Really? because I can listen to music, run IM+, and play any game at the same time. No problems for me.

And BBM is just trendy exclusivity so teenagers can brag about having a blackberry and feel special.

And sorry but iPhone OS has copy and paste.. retard.
