Mr.Martin came to Lanier, I had him as my band director up until thie year...He tought us the Sneak one of the greatest moves. y'know we hated him but now that he's gone we miss him D=

WTF XD I had him as my band director for a while, he retired this year though....made me sad...

I meant girls. I never saw him feel a boy, only girls.
He was very inspirational. Like a God to some of us.

Mr. Martin liked us to sit on his lap in his office. If we didn't want to, he was mean to us.
Other than that, he was a great director.

You guys played some music from the Bluecoats 2007 show Criminal, don't know what to say.

Lowdes County's Old Dir Martin in 1977, Oh yeah I'm 44 now, but he made such an impact on our lives from Washington, Ga WWCHS Marching Tiger Band. It was my first band camp. I remember it like yesterday. Marching in the hot sun of 1-75. I enjoyed watching Lowndes County playing Rocky. This director & Band made such an impact on us all. WWCHS Band was never the same. We learned so much and begin to impress the counties in the CSRA. Thanks you Lowndes County High and Mr. Martin.

I was one of the drum majors for this show (the black due during the two production #s and I just want to say it's nice too see other bands who tkae pride in the same values that we do and don't down grade other bands, even though you guys were great and came in first! It means so much to know that "bandmanship" still exists outside of our own band! You guys rocked! Hope to see you again this year!

I'm Martavius Parrish the drum major this year (The guy directing in the production numbers) but I just want 2 say thanks 2 EVERY1 who made positive comments about our band & we're so grateful 2 have the admiration of all of you! Although we got 2nd, we lost to an awesome band: The Seminole Band! Kudos every parent who helps w/ the band & the band students who spend countless hrs. of sweat, blood, & tears 2 make the show great! I really look forward 2 seeing what u guys do in the future!
u guys did really good i wish i could've watched u!!

Thanks for the kind words. The folks from Valdosta that we sat next to in the stands were so proud of all their kids. I think in an event like this the true winners are all of us who get to watch all the hard work by our kids pay off.
