this is a challenging composition to sing considering the language that you have to have the music in front of you. you're used to seeing them sing familiar tunes by memory.

this is what i called the conductor's effect on an ensemble. A great group of musicians does not always show the best performance.
Yet, the role of the conductor as a leader is very essential to music and sound producing.
This is a very good example of it. The same group may show different qualities when lead by different leaders...

My symphonic choir is doing this for our wintr concert and it is amazing!!! its so beautiful. I am a high soprano and I love the high notes!!!!

the piece has lots of rests in between phrases and the conductor earnestly followed what was written. you might have mistaken that for being asthmatic.

yah this is is madz..i saw sir mark on the far right......if im not mistaken.....and the two fat ladies on the far left hehe...sori girls....but ur excellent iv seen ur concert at d ccp last december....it was a chance of a lifetime since i lived in mindanao....

I have seen and heard the Madz but i think this is not the original, the voicing, phrasing, and overall sound is different. This is below the performance level of the real Madrigal Singers of the Philippines.

nope, this is purely Madz. coro de sta. cecilia wasn't included in the performance of this song. the difference in the sound may have come from the fact that the madz trainees were included, and that most of those who competed in the egp weren't around during the recital.

Nope, this is not the Madz!!! Christopher Borela is (was?) a member of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, and this could possibly be a choir that he works with. But certainly not the Madz.

are you sure these are the MADZ? They're not bad but they don't seem to sound as smooth and fine as the MADZ.

Yes. This is the Madz. Your observation might be due to the fact that a lot of the members of the EGP 2007 batch were gone by this time and were replaced by the new members/trainees, hence, the different sound. You might want to go to their official Multiply site ( upms . multiply . com ) and see the photos of this event.
