Great performance dude, were you using the Petrucci's stock pickups? I mean, the Steve's Special and the Air Norton? I just I bought an Ibanez Rg2020x and I bought a Steve's Special for it, Im not sure about getting the Air Norton or a Paf Pro. By the way, what amplifier and distortion did you use on this video? Thank you so much. Please check my videos, there's some interesting sounds.
Stock Petrucci pickups. I'd get the air norton because it's a bit more single coil like, but still retains the fullness of a bucker... the PAF Pro is fuller sounding, but I dig the added pop of the norton. PAF would get closer to Vai's tone when he switches to the neck pup on this song. Amp was Behringer Vamp.. I couldn't use the Boogie rig... would have taken way too much time and I had class. lol
Well we may use the same etiquette as at orchestra for forum or whatever, but if there had been more people in the audience... and they had been the kind of people who watch these videos all time, that etiquette would have been out the window and rightfully so. Size of crowd, not etiquette is the reason for the seemingly lackluster response. The ok panhandle is pretty boring though. lol Besides, if Vasco Abadjiev played Paganini, it would have brought the house down at most anywhere.
Killer playing and tone man! I absolutely love it. BTW I also have an Ibby JPM P2 and it's definitely the best guitar I've played. What kind of amp are you using there?
I normally play a Mesa DC3 (see my band Bipolar Echo) but this was a college recital performance so I used my Behringer Vamp and Crybaby. I still have them both but my main rig has a Teese Wah. My P4 was stolen and I have since acquired a P1 and a Music Man BFR JP6 which replaced my JP7 that was also stolen. :(

I thought American crowds shouted woo-hoo and stuff :) I would have probabyl asked for an autograph!
I actually prefer your ending to the album version, I never liked the passion and warfare ending.....
