I remember when I heard this song in 8th grade. Back then it just seemed like a nice song but didn’t hold much meaning for me then. Now I’m 31 years old with kids of my own. And this morning while driving to work after dropping my kids off to school, for some reason this song popped in my head and I began to sing it. I remembered most of the words. And now listening to it again just brought tears to my eyes. This song holds so much more meaning for me now because now I can relate.

Whenever I listened to the words in this song it brings tears to my eyes. I sent it to my two older children as a tribute from me. The words speaks for me through Ms Belle. May God bless her for such a beautiful song.

@teeray407 I couldn't listen to this song for years without crying. While in the military, my sister and her husband said they would watch my children until I got military housing, but I felt something wasn't right whenever I spoke to them on the phone. I sent a priest to check on them, and turns out, her husband was beating everyone; including her. I got my children sent to me!!! If prison wasn't an option, I would have beat him to an inch of his life!!!
