I suppose you've never made a driving mistake then?
I really couldn't agree more with your "outside looking in" snapshot of what this nation now symbolizes, but what you must, must understand is that real America is nothing like you are exposed to on TV. What you see on American programing is an actual effort by big media, acting in unison, for the dumbing down of society. Every channel has trash talking hookers, gluttons, idiot sports fans and mis information. -We see.

@Rick258442 Just a couple of points. 1, the only thing USA is better than Britain at is eating cheeseburgers. 2, You obviously can't drive. The car didn't nearly kill you twice, you did for not knowing its's/your limits. 3, As far as still owning the US, yes you are seen as an inferior annoying ex-colony by a lot of people. You don't help yourselves, fake loud people, trashy TV, junk food/obesity epidemic, blinkered views of the world outside of the US (yes there is one) and rubbish cars.

I just did a 3rd gear broady!
Did I break the rules?

@ChrisSelin BTW I can drive my ass off.

@ChrisSelin I'm an American (we're better than Britain by the way- Far better though Britain seems to think they still own us). I had a pumped Merkur XR4TI that could easily handle nearly any other car it came across. Unfortunately, the entire car fell apart around the engine and turbo. -Those were the only two things left and were bulletproof. I eventually broke a spindle housing and sent it to the junk yard, looking like new.
It almost killed me twice due to the rear suspension design.
