@PeterVred - Thanks for the informative reply.
1) Do you encounter any feedback problems...would I need to get a feedback destroyer, like the Behringer?
2) When you say that the L1 is not as loud but clearer...are you referring to the model II?
3) Would I need to purchase an additional sub or would one sub be enough? I plan on running a backing track from my laptop, while singing and playing lead guitar, live.
thanks

@PeterVred thinner is a good way to put it. Over all just less mids & a bit more highs. I own two L1 Mod. 1's & a compact & have done plenty of a/b testing. Don't get me wrong I still love the sound of the Compact- it's just not quite as natural sounding as the Mod. 1. It doesn't quite have the tone... but I like what it does... just not quite as much as big daddy L1. :)
Sounds good to my ears, your playing...good pro band.
HOW DOES THE BOSS STACK UP TO A TRADITIONAL PA SYSTEM WITH CROSSOVER AND SUBS?
Also...I'm thinking of getting the Boss...and running my backup tracks through it (I'm a singer songwriter). So the backup tracks has my studio tracks, sans the vox and lead guitar solos....
Do I NEED 2 SUBS OR COULD I JUST GET BY WITH THE ONE?

@novanine9 After my introduction to the Bose L1in 2004, I would never use anything else. It's hard to compare it to "traditional" 3-tier systems, since it's intent is to benefit the band members as much as the audience. With old PA, at break, you asked the audience, "how did we sound". With the L1, you know. L1s do not play as loud, but are more smooth and clear with much less effort.

@PeterVred - Are you going the outs from your Roland straight into the Boss w/out any need for any miking?
Really nice tone on the strat, btw.

@novanine9 Yes, the Trapkat is midi'd in to the Roland TD-12, the TD-12 is connected by the Left/Right main outputs into the Bose T1, channel 4/5 (1/4" inputs, summed mono).
The Strat is into an old Digitech (?) floor effects box for a bit of reverb on the leads, then into the Roland Micro-Cube, and into channel 2 on the Compact.

@novanine9 Two B1 bass modules gives you 3db more headroom than one, and is a fuller sound. Not punchy like big subs, but warm and real. I would highly recommend two. But that said, I have, at times had to unhook one of them when things sounded too bassy. The cause is usually that the system is pushed into a corner.

The Compact has a bit of a hi-fi sound, but it's good in general.

@DJJDBass The guitarists amp (lined out) and his vocal are in the Compact. What do you mean by hi-fi exactly, compared to his sound thru his Classic L1? Can you define it? I don't really hear much of a difference thru the video camera. A bit thinner maybe?
