Fantastic! What a great sounding combination. I'm trying to choose between the Special 6 and the Special 6 Ultra, but now I've seen you using the GT10 with the Ultra, q. answered. Inspiring, you're getting the kind of sounds I'd love to be playing, so you showed me the road. Thank you And it's so gooood to hear kit demoed by someone who not only plays well, means what they play and isn't just diddlin'.

@2Langdon The Special 6 seems to mate up well with the GT10. I tried Peavey classic 30, and a Vox AC15 and Mesa Triple Rec, none liked the GT10 very much. The front of the VHT doesn't like it either. The reurn loop seems to be the ticket for me. However, that said. If you go this route, you will be spending a bit of time programming, which isn't very year. Once you write one good patch, just keep copying it and making changes to it so you have all your pedal assignments. :)

Drums are: My playing drums like a guitar player that doesn't know how to play the drums. It's a Tama Rockstar kit with Sabian BR8's mic'd with 57 on the snare, 52 on the kick and one OH condenser.

I like the ability to run the GT direct. But I prefer a mic'd tube amp. The GT isn't the perfect solution to the worlds problems, but it is a compact unit with a bit of versatility and usable tone. The VHT is an affordable small tube amp that seems to work pretty well for this setup.
