Creative Job Seekers

This segment originally aired on WTEV CBS47 and WAWS FOX30 Action News Jacksonville on August 6th 2009. The segment features William Arnold, a Jacksonville job seeker, who is turning to Craigslist to find his next job after his girlfriend landed a job on the popular website. "I used to go on Craigslist to sell stuff or buy stuff that was local and now I'm using it every single day trying to find a job," says Arnold. Also featured in the news segment is career expert Carlos Gil of JobsDirectUSA.com, an online job board. Gil started JobsDirectUSA.com last year after losing his job.
"Recruiters in this day and age are being more selective in their approach to hiring and that's really forcing job seekers to become creative in how they're going about finding a job," says Gil.
