E168;S5
The Next Morning.
Demi opened her when she felt something coming up. She sat up and held her stomach. Ugh, she thought, morning sickness. One of the negatives of being pregnant. 9 months of torture is ahead. She got up, running into the bathroom and leaning over the toilet. She let it all out, then she heard Joe get up. She still felt sick when he went around her to hold her hair back. When she felt okay, a couple of seconds later, she rinsed her mouth and turned around.
Joe: You okay?
Demi: Now I am.
Joe: *he puts his arms around her waist and pulls her closer* What do you wanna do today? *he leans his forehead against hers*
Demi: Mmhm, we better go get ready for dinner and go to the grocery store to get some things.
Joe: Mmkay. *he leans in closer*
Demi: *she backs her face away from his* I'd rather you not kiss me.
Joe: Why?
Demi: Well, 1, i havent brushed my teeth yet, and 2, I just threw up.
Joe: Fine. Go brush your teeth...but for now I can do this *he kisses her forehead*
Demi smiles and pushes him out of the bathroom. She brushes her teeth and does her other morning business. Joe slips on a t shirt and goes downstairs. He got some ingredients out to make pancakes. Just as he was mixing, Demi came down with Adam.
Adam: Morning Daddy! *he runs into the living room*
Demi: Now you need to brush your teeth. *she sticks out her tongue at him*
Joe: Fine. Here, you take over.
Demi grabbed the spoon and Joe went upstairs. She heard Rosie descending the stairs a minute later. Rosie took a seat at the kitchen table and just watched Demi.
Demi: You wanna mix, honey? *she motions her to come over*
Rosie takes the spoon from her and continues while Demi sets up the stove.
Rosie: Like this, mommy?
Demi: *she looks over her shoulder* Yep. Keep going.
Joe comes back down a few minutes later. He gives Rosie a kiss on the cheek and later goes to attack Demi with kisses all over her face while Rosie stares at them, giggling.
Demi: *she tries to back away* Joe, stop.... *she giggles*
Joe laughs and pulls away while Demi pours the first batch of pancakes into the pan, facing the stove to get ready and flip. Joe slips his arms around her waist from behind and says something into her ear.
Joe: You're beautiful.
Demi: *she giggles* Go get the kids ready to go out grocery shopping.
Joe: Okay, fine.
Joe goes into the living room and carries Adam up over his shoulder and takes him upstairs to take a bath.

2 hours later, they are all int he car, going to the store.
Demi: *she changes the station on the radio* Okay...so what should we cook for them tonight?
Joe: Hmm....lets have a barbeque. Hows that sound?
Demi: Sounds okay.
Joe: I havent had a good steak in a while, you know.
Demi: I'm just wondering how they'll all react to this.
Joe: They'll be happy.
Demi: What if they think that I'm gonna have a miscarriage again? Or worse, what if they expect a miscarriage?
Joe: They wont. C'mon, its been what, 7 moths since the incident. We'll be careful. I'll watch out for you. Okay?
Demi nods as Joe pulls into a parking space.
