New album on for 2012? Bullshit. Metallica have possibly become the slowest songwriters in heavy metal history. They spent 3 years getting St. Anger ready(although they almost broke up as a band in this period), and 3 more years getting Death Magnetic ready. A 2013 release is more likely, possibly even 2014 if they continue touring as often as they currently do.

Each song is literally 7-13 minutes of Lou babbling on like an incoherent old man while the same instrumental plays in the background over... and over... and over... There's nothing wrong with taking a different direction and trying something new, but that album was such a heaping, steamy pile of shit... It's insulting to all music and they should be very ashamed of it.
