@Certamaniac In a way they are really different. I died 20 or more times in the making of the classic segment. The tension is escalated because the stakes are so much higher. The new version feels really nice though. You really feel like Sonic when he's barreling toward you at the end but yet you can outrun him.

Gaming has changed so much in 20 years it is almost apples and oranges. I really, really like this game but I can't say it's better than Sonic 3 and Knuckles. That game was just so epic

@Ceej64 one thing i love about sonic is that all you do is just hold the right button and keep a ready finger on the jump button. simple gameplay but addicting. i love that.

It's been almost 20 years since Sonic CD came out. I bought it for my iPad yesterday, guess what, still kicks ass.

Old retro sonic games are better... in sonic generations the music are so shitty and metal sonic looks like a teddy bear... the music of the sonicd (american) are much better and metal sonic looks more darker....
