A song about American Imperialism to the tune of "Seasons of Love" for AP US History.

New Manifest Destiny had us searching for land.
How do you fight a country so large?

Hawaii, Samoa, and Puerto Rico,
and Cuba, the Philippines.
With 2.4 x 10^9 acres,
these poor countries would have never stood a chance.

Dominated Hawaii, poor Lilioukalani!
Wanted those islands for that Pearl Harbor base.
Puerto Rico gave the US little trouble.
Through the Jones Act we were joined forever more.

Spain colonized Cuba, but Cubans wanted our help.
We blew up the Maine, to make the Spaniards cry.

It's time now, to conquer, 'cause the greed never ends.
Let's celebrate, remember a time when your land was your own!
