The problem: Two characters get off of a city at different times in the story, but the same location. The solution: Put both actors on the bus at the same time and record them exiting separately,
varying the focal length multiple times for different shots. This is good way to creatively maximize a location or prop that you have no control over.

  • thanks frugal filmmaker!!!! nice shots btw hay were you the only camera operator for both cameras? considering uncontrolable activity is going on location. i'm currently trying this and it cuts down on time especially when working in natural sunlight. awesome demonstration.

  • Caught myself saying "Wow" out loud at least 4 times during the final cut.

  • Awesome job man!

  • Nice!

  • HA! I'm a driver for that bus company!! It was funny to see the driver's concern for the female. She did look pretty bad.

  • Great shot.

I like that the drive opened the door to see that she was OK. Most people now days don't care about others like that. The make up helped that I'm sure.

  • Excellent!
