  • It's a shame he never got to see the images from Cassini. Especially the Eclipse of Saturn image.

  • "Imagination will carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere." - Carl Sagan

This is a series that inspired me to learn science. Thanks so much for uploading these episodes. I have a question though, will you upload the others as well? Just wondering. Once again, thanks dude :)

  • In 4 years only 13k views... interesting...

  • What is the music piece this video starts out with?

  • @charlienelson69 -- lmao i love you forever for that comment! not only catholics, though, but ALL religions! genius comment though, genius!

  • What's up with the voice shifting at 6:30-6:35?

  • @Guitcad1 Stephen Hawking. Theres some of his stuff on youtube, it's amazing. His book "A Brief History of Time" is also amazing.

  • When they find life on other planets will the catholic church give all the money back ??????

  • I agree. It's twenty years older than that silly "planets" thing the BBC did and it's still WAY better. Sagan mops the floor with Sam Neil. Sam Neil? He's not even a scientist! I wish somebody could come up with a worthy successor.

  • could you imagine taking an astronomy course in Cornell University with Carl Sagan? must have been something to remember. i would have been satisfied with attending to at least a seminar or a conference... there is something about the way he narrates that makes this series addictive.

  • I love the moon Titan, oceans and rivers and lakes...full of liquid methane, liquid natural gases...volcanoees that spew forth ice...*sigh* A new home.

  • It is sad that he didn't get to see the Cassini mission, but a man as intelligent and forward-thinking as Sagan would have realized most of his wonderful dreams for the future of humanity would be achieved after he himself had died. His contributions in life, however, would be as important as those who would man the missions of the future, as he helped to inspire the next generation of scientist and layperson to continue exploring the Cosmos.
