  • i have ptd and this is bullshit , these men and women have sacrificed by their mental health, i have experienced all of these things, ptsd is mental HELL and these people have given all for their country. God bless you every one i send you my love and support , ptsd is real, i can attest to that!

  • Wow, this pisses me off

  • maybe so

  • well I don't mean to oversimplify things, but perhaps the solution to so much mental anguish and ruthless expulsion of soldiers in need is to STOP THE G*D D*MN WAR.

  • ptsd affect all of us on one level or another, sometimes we repress it for decade before we even realize how much it affects us...they should be there for these folks...fav'd

  • but what's the solution to people not admitting they have a problem? many people never will admit that or else the whole culture would be counterproductive to having a military

  • The government has been aware of PTSD since Vietnam. You are correct about the VA, but the numbers don't lie. The Army, and any other branches, can make sure they get proper diagnosis, to receive treatment. You know, as well as I do, that some will not admit they have a problem, and turn to alcohol, and drugs, which speeds their downward spiral. The system is broken.

  • PTSD and TBI are the "signature injuries" of the Iraq War. I've seen people kicked out and people who probably should have been kicked out kept in so they can deploy again. The VA has a far higher budget to deal with these injuries than the army. Most people I've seen kicked out wanted to be. I haven't seen many -- if any -- of these people literally abandoned.
