Anti-Smoking Ad: Child Abandoned

This is an Australian ad that depicts the agony of a child left behind by a loved one, as an understatement of how it feels to be left behind when a loved one dies from a tobacco-related death. This created much controversy in the US because of the authenticity of the reaction of the child ie, it did not look like the child was acting. In The Today Show, the producers of the ad were made to explain how this child was fully protected under child protection laws. This was taken in one shot, the mother in the scene is the real mom, and the representative of the child protection agency was on site during the shoot.
