My first day riding an overloaded adventure bike on sand

In July of 2009, a friend and I set out from San Francisco to ride motorcycles to Colorado and back on as much dirt as possible. Along the way, we planned to use as much of the TransAmerica and Pony Express Trails as possible. While we had a great trip, some mechanical issues changed our plans a little. In this video compiled from the first day of the trip and my first day ever on sand (PLEASE NO SAND RIDING TIPS, I FIGURED IT OUT...), you can see that mechnical issues weren't the only problem.
