FlightCheck Professional is a great tool for preflighting InDesign or QuarkXPress documents. A little hidden secret of sorts is the fact that FlightCheck can also give a detailed quality report on individual image files like EPS, TIFF, JPG, PDF or PICT and even GIF and BMP types as well. (Have heard of many starting to use FlightCheck to check their web banners before sending off as well! Even though most still use FCPro to check images for print-quality before inserting in a DTP layout.)

It will even batch process them and in this video, Doug Rosen, the FlightCheck product manager, walks us through how to do this efficiently.
