champagne h i g h {peter/alice/arthur}

Ahh, okay, this is a big story. =P I just had to do though when it first popped into my head with the song.

Dark colours: past.
Brighter colours: future.
Black and white: memories/flashbacks.

The blending is some places is choppy, sorry. It nearly killed me trying to get it right. Yay me for only owning Sony Vegas Platinum. =P

Phillip is an older Arthur by the way. xD Hey, he DID have blonde hair when he was little. :'D

Summary --

Alice is a lonely young girl, with dreams that seem beyond her imagination. She dreams of a world where she can be free of all of life's burdens and difficulties. One day, whilst out with her sister and Dinah in the woods, she comes across a rabbit hole, and falling down it, ends up in a different, yet seemingly wonderful world. There, Alice meets a young boy named Peter, who teaches her to fly and eventually helps her back home. He comes back many times for her during the space of a few years, and the two have many adventures together. Alice finally finds somewhere that is a world away from her dull life, and makes a good friend in the process.

As time passes, Alice eventually realises her own feelings for Peter, and that she loves him. But, with her being the only one growing older, he is unable to accept these feelings, and reacts in an immature manner to those feelings, angering Alice and forcing to turn away from the boy and world she had grown to love so much.

Feeling upset and alone, Alice breaks down crying, remembering all the times she had with Peter. Nearby, Arthur happens to be passing by and finds the lonely girl. Feeling sorry for her, he attempts and eventually succeeds in cheering Alice up, and the two decide to remain friends.

Peter, having time to think about what she said to him, flies quickly back to Alice's home, desperate to tell her he feels the same. But, when he gets there, he sees a young woman at the window of Alice's room, and quickly hides. He comes to realise that the woman is still Alice, only now a beautiful teenager, and that some years have passed since he saw her. Confronting her, she tells him she is now engaged and in love with Arthur, who she met when she was a young girl, and who is now the King of England.

This upsets Peter who leaves, but curious to know who she is in love with; he sneaks into the castle, and finds Alice asleep. His feelings overcoming him, he kisses her, awakening her in the process, but resulting in him realising she now has no such feelings for him, and results in upsetting her. Later on, Peter comes across Arthur and Alice in the main hall dancing together, and realises that he just wants Alice to be happy.

He gives the couple his blessings, and then flies back to Neverland, glad Alice has a good life, but knows he'll never stop loving her.
