Lab created real diamonds, not mined, yet real.

Compare this video (Gemesis diamonds) to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=021v4B... (Apollo diamonds, 2 parts). Different techniques, different results. Gemesis diamonds are mostly yellow due to the Nitrogen in the atmosphere getting inside the crystal during the growing process. Apollo diamonds can be created in all colors including colorless depending on how much impurity is introduced in the growing chamber. e.g. add boron to make blue diamonds.

Note that synthetic diamonds are real diamonds made in lab. They possess identical physical and chemical properties of diamonds. They are real though not natural (read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syntheti... ) Imitation or simulated diamonds are fakes using different materials to mimic the looks of diamonds. (read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_... )

All cars are made by man, but you never say cars are not real. The opposite of artificial is natural. Natural and real are two different definition. These diamonds are all real diamonds in a sense that it is made of the same identical material except that the man made diamond can be made more perfect than those mined from the ground.

First these are not artificial at all. They are very real diamonds, just not a thing of antiquity. Didn't take millions of years to make. But just if not more beautiful.

By dictionary definition, artificial means "made by human being". So these real diamonds are artificial, not natural. They are real because they are chemically and physically identical to diamonds despite they are man-made. You are comparing with fake diamonds, or simulated diamonds which are made of other materials to look like diamonds, e.g. Cubic Zirconia is a material that made to look like diamonds. Nowadays, CZ has its own following and they don't need to pretend to be diamonds.

Diamonds are not "RARE" stones at all. Emeralds and rubys are much more rare. The rarest gem is a stone called Tanzanite. I believe there were only 3 mines worldwide and 2 have been exhausted already. Its a blue stone and quite beautiful.

Did he really just say diamonds are formed when a tree gets burned and then crushed under the earth's core? They are formed in the mantle and pushed up into the the crust by a volcanic eruption.

almost ANY gem stone can be reproduced, though, the pitfall is man vs. nature = man makes that particular gem better with no flaws.

I entered with the boots in the kitchen, scratched the tiles.I love things that last.Instead of making resistent tiles, they make jewlery.Jewlery is for slaves that own slaves, like in old times, you wouldn't know who to greet and bow, and they had some bling, so you would know who's the slave, who's the king.If i see somebody robbed of jewlery, i will run after the thief to say good job, i buy all right now for half price.
