That was a brave & honest speech from a man who love to his country as much as he love to his game. I still remember every moment, every stroke you played in your best inning in test cricket against Australia (192 @ Hobbart) which you fought hard to bring first ever win in Kangaroo land. But from tomorrow onwards I will consider this one as the bravest and best inning you play for your country... My country.... I should be thankful to you my captain, my leader. God bless you

This is one of the best speeches that I have ever heard. This is a kind of a speech that a true Srilankan can be very proud of. Mr. Sangakkara you are a great Srilankan hero in our hearts. Sir, we are always backing you up. I’m so amazed of the fact that how our sport’s minister is so furious about this marvelous speech. So pathetic. I reckon he needs to have a good Sinhala translation of this speech. Proud to be a Srilankan.

How can a person with a heart or any passion for our country order a inquiry and cause rift to such a speech? Has the dumb minister even bothered to spend time to listen to his "sanga's" words. Initially in his speech I think he did more to promote Sri Lanka as a country in its own unique class of people to tourist prospects around the world and he did this at the right place, what brains perfect timing as always. And also you gave channel 4 believers a good run for it as well!! I adore you!!
