  • Great answers Rob, and very sweet of you to film in the laundry room so not to disturb your wife.

  • @kazxena Well I've not much interest in her hobbies (like gardening) so at the very least I try not to disturb her with my hobbies lol!

  • Excellent response, Rob. I wouldn't have thought of it, but actually I totally agree with you.

I've been enjoying "C64 Forever" recently, because I never had a C64 back in the day, believe it or not. Amazing stuff was done with that platform.

One downside of emulation, particularly arcade emulation: no matter how well it's emulated, not having to spend your last coins to play them takes away a bit of the thrill (to me). But it still is amazing stuff to experience at home nowadays!

  • @rowdyrob3d I have both C64 Forever and Amiga Forever they are excellent GUI and features to simplify the emulators used. Though I have two C64's the emulation is just easier and takes less space and having NO Amiga Hardware I NEED emulation lol!

  • good respond rob! I've been playing alot of mame lately. Its so cool that one of the ultimate shmups, Ketsui, is now almost perfectly emulated on mame! Now that.. I'm thankful too :)

  • @PhatPhunk My god how I love MAME! So many classics and then the games I never even knew about!

  • The Popeye arcade was epic!

  • @khisanth75 Not to mention some day it may be the ONLY way to experience all those great 80's consoles and computers from the good old days!

  • Great response

  • Oh god yes, emulation is one of the most amazing technologies to come our way. Emulation lets us carry on with our obsessions, nostalgia and take our past with us into the future.

  • Totally agree with you there, Rob.

  • Thanks Rob, and your always welcome.

Emulation was the first thing that popped into my head when I was going through the list of possible answers to this question, but I decided see who else would have the guts to bring it up, and I went with something a bit more obscure and humorous.

The "emulation debate" cracks me up! The people claiming not to use emulation are probably streaming pirated movies online and downloading music for free, so they could at least show some professional courtesy.
