A simple gun disarm for adverse weather conditions. We always try to keep our techniques simple and to the point. Gun disarms are dangerous, but you need options available to you should you face an assailant at close distances such as 6 feet and closer.

  • there is no perfect technique. the reality is that situations like that are dynamic, and can change. what if the bad guy is a lefty? what if he starts fighting back before you control the weapon? the best weapon against stuff like this, is an open mind. Use what works. train for worst case scenarios like the above mentioned and hope things go your way. This guy is showing a good, basic technique. Its your job as the student, to expand it and train to adapt.

  • @JmCruzan Well said. This is by far one of THE best comments I've EVER read.

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 You are preaching to the choir here my friend. I understand the power of adrenaline & that is EXACTLY why I don't believe in most so called self-defense systems or the use of a handgun in a fight! I teach AGAINST these things & I make A LOT of people mad bc they WANT to believe in what they know or THINK they know. AND, even with 14 shots in some cases it isn't enough!

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 Well, I can understand your doubt in the strike bc most systems do not strike effectively. However, IF the strike is done correctly, it will work regardless of their size/strength. I have yet to see anyone it hasn't worked on bc it is NOT based on pain compliance like most strikes, etc.

  • @brian47374 I use to practice martial arts and unfortunatly have gotten in to some fights. Kept fighting with broken hand and wrist before. Its called adrenaline.

there cases were suspects take 14 or so bullets before they stop fighting. Keep that in mind.

  • @brian47374 What happens when the attacker jumps back out of your striking range.

I never said this didnt work its better than nothing. However its not like it would be impossible for the attacker to counter this. His leg is free even as you twist his wrist and could strike you with his leg. Who says your first strike to his head will take him out of the fight. Pyschological factors play a huge role. I wouldnt be to confident that youy strike to the face can take the fight out of him

  • This is for ALL the readers here. What I’m trying to teach is what CAN and CANNOT be done in the real world. You CANNOT outdraw a drawn gun. You CAN grab the gun & redirect much faster than they can react!

  • AND, if you don’t know the rituals of attack & how not to project them yourself, you won’t be able to pull ANYTHING off regardless of who teaches it. This is where MOST instruction falls short. I don’t provide information for FREE for no reason! If you or most people would take the time to watch the videos AND train on them safely, people might realize things & cut down on the comments & other BS on here. I’m not singling you out.

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 I seriously doubt that you can draw your gun faster than I can do this. Most drawstrokes with shots fired are between 1-1.5 seconds & that’s when things go perfectly. I can pull this move off in about ½ second or less, at least get past the “danger” point. I would encourage you to watch our reaction times video because this will explain that even when you KNOW something is going to happen, you have a reaction time that allows the other person to do things.

  • @LiveFreeOrDie1985 You have no actual experience in whether this works or not. It is just your opinion. I work in the field and have seen and used similar counter weapon techniques. Him being an idiot has nothing to do with it. Why is he this close "holding" a gun on you to begin with? was it during a draw stroke when you reacted? is he attempting to intimidate? or is he actually going to shoot and you reacted before it happened?

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES It would work if the target is distracted. If hes not your as good as dead unless he is an idiot.

  • @Diamondbacknf26 Nope but I know how quick a person can pull a trigger if there gun is already pointed at you. The only way this would have a chance at working is if you could catch the attacker off guard. If hes distracted you could draw your weapon just as fast if not faster than doing this move. either way unless you can get the attacker off guard you are as good as dead.
