I would imagine in the 23rd Century , total instrument flight is common.
Why nit pic about...windows? In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, -if I remember correctly, Spocks' Warp shuttlecraft has no windows at all.
-
@capttheo1 I've always wondered how they could actually SEE much of anything with the windows being that far above the seats. I also love the sky "glow wave". That's the first time I've seen anything used that wasn't constant. The occasional sky wave is really neat. Adds interest.

I truly was not trying to nitpick. I know that they sometimes used lens "magic" to make things look different than they were. Like I know that they made Engineering look a lot bigger than it actually was, as I've seen a regular photo of it facing the ladder and it wasn't as big as it looked on the screen.
-
Then, once again, I sincerely and humbly apologize. It must have been the lenses they used on the show.
-
Can't believe this hasn't got more viewings. Perhaps its because the shuttlecraft is one eigth of an inch out. Not really a trekker and haven't seen other fan productions but I enjoy watching the original series and I enjoyed watching this. You can see the love thats gone into it. A few tweeks here and there and it could be something really special.
Brilliant

Captain Chris Eliot.

The shuttle interior set is, in fact, built to the exact same dimensions as the set used in TOS Star Trek.
-
Then don't watch them.
I realize that this is probably nitpicking, but, to me the shutlle interior looks too wide. The view ports look too big, which throws everything else off. Of course, If they were built to original blueprints, then I humbly apologize.

Having built the interior set for Starship Farragut, I can tell you that some liberties were taken. First, there are no actual blueprints detailing the console or walls measuremetns.
Also, The windows and front angle of the shuttle were modified to fit the exterior of the shuttle. As for being too wide... Maybe, but it would definitley be close.
One more thing to add to the mix. The orginal series was filmed in 4:3 aspect ratio, whereas Farragut is filmed in 16:9.
Hope this helps
