Mikayla's POV
"Thanks Demi" I said and gave her hug since she was next to me. "Thanks to all of you I feel a lot better now".

Nick's POV
Today is a very slow day. Since Miley was in all of my classes today I had to deal with her telling all of her friends in every class that she broke up with me and making up this ridiculous story. It got old really fast. I sat with Arianna and Joe at lunch. Arianna was helping me and Joe work on a set list for the performance at the dance. So far we were thinking of playing S.O.S, World War III, Shelf, Tonight, Inseparable, and more. We still have a little more time. I want to make sure it's a good list. I really could not wait to get home. I wanted to finish the melody on the song I was writing last night for Mikayla. I really wish I could show it to her. I guess for now it looks like I have to wait. "So Nick, how are you doing?" Arianna asked me. This morning I told her about the whole thing that happened with Miley. The real story and not the crap she was making up. "I'm fine about the Miley thing" I said but I still had that something-is-still-bothering-me tone. "I can tell that there is something bothering you Nick, just tell me". Arianna said back. Dang she was good. "You haven't told her?" Joe asked. The thing he was referring to was the almost-kiss with Mikayla. I could not stop thinking about how much of an idiot I was of not running after her. And how I kept thinking how the moment was perfect… until her phone rang. Ugh. "Tell me what?" she asked. "Well… yesterday Mikayla joined me when I walked Elvis, and when we got back to my place…." I said and paused. "Keep going…" she said. "I played my new song A Little Bit Longer since she wanted to hear it… and after the song we almost kissed." I finished. "OMG!" she said loudly. Then she smacked Joe on his arm and said "Why didn't you tell me?!". "I thought you already knew!" Joe said. I just rolled my eyes. "So what happened that it didn't happen?" She said. "Huh?" me and Joe said at the same time. Girls don't make sense sometimes. She rolled her eyes, "What stopped the 'the moment' ?" she said. Ok that made more sense. I think. "Well she was sitting next to me as I was playing it, and after I finished I turned to her and when she looked at me I saw a tear running down her cheek. I wiped away the tear with my thumb, and my hand just lingered there for a second and I just started to lean in towards her…and she leaned towards me too… then right before our lips met, her phone rang." I said. "Do you know who called her?". "That Taylor guy. He's her boyfriend." "Yeah I heard about that." She said with an apologetic tone. "She answered her phone quickly, told him she would call him back and hung up. Then she told me she had to go and that she loved the song and just ran out." I said with a little sadness. "I should have run after her." "I'm really sorry Nick." She said. "Thanks, but I think it would have hurt less if I didn't love her…But…I do."
