This is a record I found at a local thrift store, and I couldn't resist the urge to buy it and share it with the world.
According to the linear notes: "... favorite songs sung by children aged 7 to 13 who were once homeless waifs but who now are among the nearly 18,000 orphans cared for by World Vision in 16 nations."
This record combines the very best of music, religious indoctrination, and child labor.
My selection is the first track on Side B (the "secular music" side), "Oh! Susanna"
Ironically, however, I don't think any of them can play banjo, and I definitely know they don't come from Alabama.
I just bought a record by this choir called "We Sing Because We're Happy"!

I had this album many years ago! Bob Pearce did some wonderful Christian charity work with World Vision. They have such lovely voices.

bEAUTIFUL. This choir sings the hymn:"I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses...." like no other choir ever can. If you have it on your record, yyou have a true gem. Can you post it too, please?
