Mig welding using short circuit transfer can handle sheet metal thickness all the way up to the beefy thick metal if done right. But for the really thick stuff, Spray transfer can be the ticket. 90/10 argon/co2 gas allows for spray transfer if you are using .035" er70s6 wire at about 25 volts and 350 ipm inches per minute of wire feed speed. Its hot...Its fast....and it really needs a heavy duty mig welding machine.

  • @TylerWard335 Ya i checked, he doesn't show any.

  • @MrLynchmade i disagree with you 100% i thought this video was fucking great.

  • Fuck. RIP headphone users.

  • @TheFrhen

Meaning the number on the welder may not be the actual wire feed speed. So every welder may be a bit different as far as settings.

  • miller 211 autoset w/ mvp, real nice

  • what is that calibrated motor means? by setting up or ?

  • i did all those exercise at school that i finished only 3 years ago and they didnt want us to do a movement exept for rechargement . i know youre more advanced in europe .. should i replace all my straight line weld for a movement

  • @jvwelder28 Yea mann! We're running an Esab setup too at work. Only the MIG 4002, solid .045 wire, 90 10. What are your favorite setting for 7ga & 1/4"? We do horizontal and downhill.

  • @shawnwright111 You should almost always spray when you can(most of the time) My shop almost never short arcs. But the first and formost you should know is you are mistaking your amps for Volts. You are probably using a welder that you cant adjust Amps by itself. You adjust amps by adjusting your wire. This contrary to popular belief is your heat. Your wire speed is the most important setting on your machine. If you burn through it is because of wire not Volts. Volts is for appearance

your writing displays your illiteracy, and you want to give advice?
