The Egyptians probably had the worst treatment of their slaves, who were Jewish. The Jewish were horribly mistreated throughout all of history. It's not only one group of people. What is the point of saying that "They enslaved people, so why can't we?"

Let's do an analogy: "They killed people, so why can't we?"

After 2 full years of this video being up, I have finally concluded that many of those who have watched this, and concluded that the pictures refer only to events which occurred BEFORE 1864 HAVE entirely missed the point, while others properly perceived that the ladies and gentlemen in the latter half of the video, lived, worked and slaved in the 20th Century, and do so until this very day.

This would account for the statements of those who think only of LEGAL slavery as slavery.

There were freed black men that owned negro slaves in the antebellum era. there were even free black men that owned white slaves. Why don't you go and argue your point with the authors of the source artticle for the paragraph found easily by you on Wikipedia, and while you are there, see if you can distinguish one degree of slavery from another.

By the way, can you show me anywhere where any of your ancestors were legally codified as slaves?

Indentured servitude does not count, as it was as individual a state as was debtor's prison or any other kind of penal institution not a perpetually inherited second class status.

@MARKETEX really, there are only 12 to 27 millions slaves? that can't be true. matter of fact mark I think that you need to research this topic a bit more because then you'll realize that there are actually about 6 billion slaves on this planet and that the majority of those slaves don't believe that they slaves. do you know that you are a slave mark? if not, as I said you need to put your investagative reporting skills in to affect before responping back to me mark.

In some societies it was legal for an owner to kill a slave. In others it was a crime to kill a slave.
