This is a tutorial designed to show you how you can incorporate Google Earth into your classroom. Aside from the obvious geography connections you can use Google Earth to teach area, perimeter, geometry, and many other mathematical concepts.

Skip the first two minutes if you know how to download/install the program.

  • so many programs huh?! haha .. in ur desktop?

  • LOL. Yeah, I probably should have hidden my desktop icons... Now, if you can only imagine what my desk looks like :)

  • I don't have measure listed under tools. Any idea why? I downlaoded it yesterday.

  • Go to TOOLS and select RULER. Then choose the LINE tab to measure from point A to point B. Or, select the PATH tab to measure Point A, B, C, etc.

You can also select SHOW RULER on the main Google Earth interface. It is the ruler icon to the right of the planet. Good luck!
