lol no rx-7's codl start at 3000 rpms for a like 15 seconds or so

It idles high because Mazda wanted the engine to warm up as fast as possible so Idiots dont damage the engine. push the clutch in and put the gear in first and start it it will idle at 1000. Im not sure if that is JDM only though.

@RotarFlow huh, all Fc's well when the 13b first came out mazda made it so when you cold start it it would go up around 3k or twenty somthing but yea every 15 or 20 secnds it would drop down till it hit operating idle.

@1990lumina ... you want the engine to rev for a bit when you start it to warm the apex seals so you dont warp them and make them leak, or do you like destroying good engines?

really? mine starts up cold and idles at around 700 till warmed....

This is for building oil pressure. Makes the combustion chamber tighter.
