I bought a warrior that would not start. Turns out it had no spark. I did some diagnostics on it and determined it was the stator, so this is the replacement proceedures for that part. It was very easy, outside of a few tight bolts.

I did a ton of research prior to determining that was the failed part. I couldn't find an example of someone changing it out, so I documented it, so it might help someone else.

  • Where's the diagnosis? Lots of time spent in the ignition switch and the coil. But what was the resistances found or not found on the old stator. That information was omitted and shouyld not have been because it is one of the major steps of troubleshooting called "Localize" then Isolate" .

  • @wa6ati-- I dont remember now what all the reading were, but I found some various posts on some forums for each rating of the ignition system and the specific readings. I determined it was bad because the reading was "zero" as opposed to 300 (or whatever)...you will have to research each testing point for yourself as I did not think to put it on here at the time. My intuition and mechanical knowledge helped me to localize it and isolate it to that part based on the symptoms I was experiencing.

  • Need help

I have 99' warrior it keeps burning the power fuse , not sure why can anyone help??

  • @RealpalmeroB If it keeps blowing the fuse, that means something is "overloading" the wire that the fuse is connected to, could be a short in the wire, could be a faulty electrical switch. See if you can reproduce the time when the fuse blows, i.e. starting or full throttle or in a wet environment or turning left or something like that...fuses are designed to protect in the even of something not normal...tracing the cables may help too.

  • i cannot get the back bolt to stay still for the life of me its like theyre stuck together any ideas on how i could clamp down on the back bolt

  • @BlueXBearr There should be a spot to hold the entire thing from spinning. I don't remember now.

  • @jwebb1975 there is but i just dont know what to use to hold it from spinning and would power tools be better for this?

  • dude! use a impact screw driver with the right bit and you wont strip screws ! come on new bee

  • @juanitogrijalva the motor turned, it was not seized up...but it did not turn over, meaning it didnt start, not even when pull starting it. if you can pull start it and it works, then it is not the stator.

  • Did yours turn over atleast b4 u changed the stator
