With this quote, Michio Kaku was summing up the work of Michael Faraday (1791 - 1867), who, with very little mathematical or scientific training but a strong visual imagination, came up with a way of describing the waves of...

  • Isn't time & gravity in every dimension?

  • @RyuOhisama If by "time" you mean one state next to another, and the possiblity of moving from state to state within a particular dimension, then I would agree with you completely. The problem with the word "time" is we use it in conversation in ways that make it seem very limited to our spacetime experience, in the unique moving from state to state that we are doing within our own dimension... so these discussions can get confusing as different definitions of the word clash.

    Thanks!

  • I swear if you weren't a scientist you could pursue a music career, But you already have in another universe, ha.

  • Other way around actually. In this universe my day job is I own a studio that does the music and sound for films and television series. I've talked about that in a number of my blogs. Maybe in another parallel universe I'm a scientist, though!

  • If it does make a blackhole, it will be so small && last for such a short peeriod of time that it really will not effect anything around it, as we are talking microseconds if not nanoseconds, geesh.

  • @ErikJoeNoise02 Yeah zappa after he went off the musical deep end and started making terrible music, I love zappa but I can't stand any thing after 1980

  • It's a shame that think tricking people into believing this gibberish you spew is even closely related to science is a good thing

  • @10thdim I think you're confusing the measurement of change with the actual dimension of time (10 dimensions of space, 1 dimension of time IE string theory)

  • marvelous explanation, terrible music... good lyrics though

  • Groovy...

  • rob ...how do the explanations of the exisrence of higher dimensions proved?i mean the 4th dimension takes into account the time factor but how do we know that it is the time which is taken into account for the 4th dimension and so on. for higher dimensions.
