Sweet sound!! Congrats;)
Have you played a 59 P-bass? I guess it's the same as this (ash body) but with rosewood fingerboard... I'd like to know the differences between them;)

I actually saw that exact bass guitar at the local guitar center around where I live. sick, son. I'm so jealous!

Your video helped me learn the song. Thanks
Nice video!Your bass sounds really cool! I haven't played a maple neck precision yet but I guess it has a little bit more mids comparing to the rosewood ones.. What do you think? Cheers!

Thanks mate! I also own a rosewood-necked Precision strung with rounds, and I can say that this is a lot punchier than that one. I'd say the maple board makes for a brighter, punchier sound. The glossy maple finish also feels a lot better, IMO.

next to my fretless warwick corvette bass ;D
i have to say ur bass is mighty fuckin awesome
where'd u find such a work of art
and how much of it???
nice playin btw
i felt that the action was too high, like it wasn't smooth enough for the song
but u played it damn well
very impressed

Thanks for the compliments mate! The action on this bass is medium-low, and it is actually very playable. I think what you are noting as not being 'smooth enough' is a muting effect I was trying to achieve, but was obviously not able to do as cleanly as P-nut did. He is just the master of this technique. If you listen to the verse and chorus in the original recording, you will hear what I'm talking about (you will notice this at the 'foreign solace in a maddening place..' part).
