tell the to Michael Schumacher. theres a onld article talking about him vs Barichello when they where both at Ferrari. they showed lines of telemetry from each. Michael always had at least 15% throttle at ALL times even under braking. Barichello because of his right foot braking would have to lift. the point if the alien Schumacher is doing it then it must have a purpose.

guess what, assholeutube? you're a fucking moron.

I am happy people are angry about this. Every sim game out there (with the possible exception of LFS) allows drivers to do this. Nowhere is it exploited to a more unfair effect than at iRacing.
-
Sim racing aliens in iRacing and GPL are misusing the technique by applying constant throttle of >= 20% over the ENTIRE braking zone and corner entry.
This is an unrealistic exploitation of the games physics which results in shorter braking distances and higher cornering speeds. CHEATING FOOLS!!!

IDIOTS!!!
Yes, Im talking to all you sim racer aliens who think this video validates your exploitation of applying throttle under braking.
As Ric demonstrates to great effect, using throttle & brake simultaneously is a valid technique that helps to a couple things
1)Helps keep the RPMs up and driveline engaged
2)Allows for smoother weight transfer when transitioning from brakes to power (settles car) and when making mid-corner adjustments
cont'd...

Tedbox's comment is an inside joke from sim racing. All the fast guys use throttle and brake simultaneously in sim racing for the exact reason you describe. Lots of people don't believe its a realistic technique though and request for it to be "fixed" in the games. He was being sarcastic :)

Thanks for posting this! Couldn't stop looking at his foot technique. Just got my FV, and I'm looking at heel-toe techniques. Thanks! BTW using the break and throttle at the same time helps to settle the car, and refine/fix understeer as Mr. Thompson said.

y dont thay fix the physix so he cant uze brake and throtle at the same time okthx
What exactly do you mean, fix the physics?? Rubbing the brakes rather than lifting is how Ric drives, it can actually be quite fast when done properly, rather than letting the rpm's drop with a lift, a brush of the brake will fix the understeer. Ric is incredibly fast, especially at Infineon, he does this same technique in the Jim Russell School formula mazdas and he would commonly set fastest lap time of the race weekend out of over 50 drivers.
