Alexander Barantschik, known to many simply as Sasha, marks his 10th season as Concertmaster of the SF Symphony in the 2011-12 Centennial Season. Listen to Sasha share how he first picked up the violin as a young boy in Russia, and how a fortuitously short commute to music school helped make him the musician he is today.
