from buffalo, was around for all the snow in november, and dec, if i remember right we had had already 70some inches of snow already, plus the snow that came after i left for germany dec 17th. then seen it on german tele
I had left for the Navy a year before. When the snow hit, I was in the Philippines over in Southeast Asia. The storm made the news on the American Armed Forces network and I was reading about it 11,000 miles away as it was happening.
We lived in Pulaski NY,,, about 50 miles north of Syracuse. Just days after that blizzard calmed down, I went into labor for our son. Yep, we made it to the hospital...
WHEW! What a trip THAT was! lol He'll be celebrating his 35th Birthday this month :o)
I was a young constable responding to an accident scene on Hwy 48...a snowplow had rear ended a motor vehicle in the blinding snow - very serious injuries occurred to the passengers of the vehicle rear ended by the snowplow. I remember spiking fusees into the telephone poles due to the hieght of the drifts!
i was 8 years old,,we lived in rochester new york(greece) and my mom got us out of school early because she reasoned the snow was headed our way..it never came to rochester,,,,thank god,,,but we did get a ice storm in 1991 that sucked,,,
I'm from Toronto and was in North Tonawanda, visiting a girl I was dating. Had to stay a week! Her family was very unerstanding. Housing this long haired kid from Canada LOL

I was 12 when this happened. Some people where I live now don't believe we could walk on our houses and not know it
