Chuckie Egg Longplay Part 5

The next six levels of Chuckie Egg, played on the BeebEm BBC Micro emulator. Level 31 (like 23, for that matter) has a reputation for being very difficult, but becomes much easier when you know the "staircase jumping" trick I use to get across the bottom of the level. (Walk into the wall and press jump and right at the same time and you can jump into the wall; then another jump gets you on top of it.) Level 32 is extremely difficult, and I was very lucky to get through it losing only one life. It requires not only having a route precisely planned in advance, but also pixel-perfect accuracy with regard to how close you can get to the duck and hens without being hit.

After that, we enter the last cycle of levels, in which the hens move faster than before. This makes one egg on Level 33 exceptionally difficult to reach, and as I never found a way to get it without losing a life, in this case I lost one deliberately as I had prepared a way to get the last egg from the position after resumption. There's less to say about the next three levels, but notice the way I dodge the duck on Level 35 while waiting for the moving platform.

The music is "Clash on the Big Bridge" from Final Fantasy V.

Brings back some very happy memories!!! Only question is why don't you have the original music to go with it?

You can't jump high enough to reach eggs from the platforms below. If you could, it would make Level 32 an awful lot easier!!!

Forgive me for asking what might seem a stupid question, but on Levels 31 & 32 there are points where you are below an egg, you have time to jump upwards to get it, but you don't. Why is this?
