This happened in the 2008 AAA Georgia High School baseball championship game between Cartersville High School (batting) and Stephens County High School (fielding).
Cartersville went on to win the game 13-1 and the state championship.
Be sure to notice that several fans cheer the umpire getting hit and also sound their air horns. They were really upset with the umpires the inning before this happened. Very odd for a team that's still in the game, with a runner on base, and playing for the state championship.
No, they were not ejected. No instant replay available and no way to really prove, especially on the spot, that it was intentional.
