Yeah, looks to me like the catcher got crossed up. Probably called fastball but got the breaking pitch. He was probably expecting high heat but tried to compensate last minute thinking it was gonna land in the dirt.

Good for them. Stand up to the Umpire. Eventhough it probably cost them more.
