Ground Based Interceptor Launched from Vandenberg AFB

http://defense-update.com/wp/20101216_gbi_fail.html The U.S. missile defense system failed an intercept test earlier today, as a Ground Based Interceptor failed to destroy an intermediate-range ballistic missile target launched from the Kwajalein Atoll, over 7,500 km (4,600 miles) across the pacific Ocean. This official MDA video shows the interceptor missile being launched from its silo. While the launch was successful, the test failed as the target was not intercepted.
