Wonderful !Great to see all the big stars of MGM stepping out! Wallace Beery is smiling because he had something up his sleeve! Just 2 hours later, he was pulling a practical joke on Garbo with Will Rogers. After the end, Will spoke to the crowd and asked Garbo to join him onstage. Out comes Beery dressed in drag as Garbo, simpering as Will Rogers pleaded with "her" to stay in this country...a gag that bombed. The audience walked out. Rogers had to print an apology in the papers next day!
