HISTORY
In 1991 gospel singer and choreographer Freddie Lee Peterkin travelled to Spain with Herbert, Lorenzo and Andre, as a group called MESSAGE from the USA. Herbert discovered Freddie at Florida Memorial University. In Time Freddie renamed the group ACES in 1993 in Madrid. He was responsible for producing the most stunning soul tribute shows ever seen.

In 1995 new members came TJ "Telpha Gabriel" Thomas and Darryl joined the group. ACES became ever more successful in the live entertainment industry of Spain. ACES - dazzled Spain, Germany and Holland and England. They had sponsorships for their tailoring and some of their shows were sponsored by Absolut Vodka. Their faces adorned billboards and buses in Grand Canaria.

When they hit British shores in the early 1990's ACES became the blueprint that all British soul tribute shows were modelled on. Freddie Lee Peterkin, TJ (Telpha Gabriel) Thomas, Darryl & Andre caused as sensation and created that blueprint for a whole new genre of soul tribute shows. Darryl left and Bruce Parker joined later joined as a full time member of the production company with Manny Green as a deputy who later became a full time member after TJ left.

Deputies who worked in the ACES show went on to take Freddie's ACES choreography and costume style to form their own touring shows and tribute bands. To this very day, some of the same routines Freddie created in 1991 can be seen in some of the British Motown style touring tribute theatre shows.

Other now well known singers Oliver Miller, Michael Scott, Sam Newman, Reece Cannon, Michael Rowe, Geo Stone, Leon Maurice Jones, Kojo Adisi, Chris Murrell, Martell O' Neil and others learnt all about the genre of Soul Tribute Productions shows during their time in ACES under the guidance of Freddie Lee Peterkin.

TJ Thomas, the smiling warm heart and soul and co-choreographer of the group became sick with Sarcoidosis in 2000 and had to leave due his illness. Freddie Lee Peterkin and Bruce Paker decided to leave. ACES came to and end in 2002.

TJ Thomas sady passed away on December 3, 2008 but he wanted a story to be told. ACES left behind a great legacy that all UK soul tributes aspire to. One day the full story will be told....

Freddie Lee Peterkin has continued this legacy of ACES and his slick costumes, choreography and style can be seen today in his production Shows SOUNDS OF THE FOUR TOPS, SOUNDS OF THE DRIFTERS and SOUL FUNKSTERS.

Very sharp suits, topped off with white panama hats, The Sounds of the Drifters was everything you would want a tribute act to such stylish originals to be. Certainly, they were pretty tight vocally and had a neat line in nifty footwork, adding to the charm of their performance. All four seem to make a significant contribution to the overall output - not always the case in such line-ups - and they clearly liked and enjoyed performing at the industry showcase. - The Stage Newspaper

Definitely slicker on the choreography that the original Drifters. Temps were my heroes awesome dancers so smooth,. Love them!

A wonderful performance, good vocals and showmanship! Sharper execution than the 4 Tops Tribute. It the kind of show I would love to take my husband to!
