You mean, a two-ane in each direction (3, if you include the bus lanes) and no shoulders with poor mergin space that's also a rather expensive tollway isn't good enough for a city of over 4 million people? :-)

NOT the smartest motorway design, 'dumb' in fact. Lane layouts are appalling, acceptable in second world AUS though.
