@jamesandsab a car is to dancing as samba is to Mercedes. car is too broad to be compared to samba. there are many cars but only one Toyota corolla.just like dancing, there are many dances but only one SAMBA

Well the rest of us are tired of seeing good dancing (and yes it is called Samba) and there has to be some Brazilian who has to comment "this is not the real Samba" we are all sick of it. Each to his own.
If I have a Ford and you have a Peugot and your friend has a Mercedes (the first car) isn't the Ford and the Peugot still a car? Is your Mercedes driving friend going to say "this is not the real car"?
The youtube viewers are tired of reading "this is not the real samba"?

@jamesandsab lmao what?!?!?! who told you samba went to Canada first?? and samba isn't even African, it has African routes. What we call samba today wouldn't have existed without Portuguese influence, which happened in Brazil. Samba is Brazilian, not African and ESPECIALLY not Canadian. And I just so tired of people saying "oh you don't know how to samba" when the one i do is the real one! Is it that hard to come up with your own name???

There are two competition rumba too, the american smooth way and the international version
Why be so hung up on a name of a dance that obviously has roots in the brazilian version plus other dance genres too
It is just a logical progression of dance development
Kind of like "dance evolution"!
