So I took up your advice and started watching Corrie on YouTube(I'm from the states) best decision of my life. Even though I'm not British I've loved and understood each episode. By far one of the best soaps I've seen in my life, they just don't make them like Corrie here in the US.
Actually EastEnders, Corrie and Emmerdale ARE British soap operas because they are broadast everywhere in the UK at the same time. Okay so there are soaps like Pobl Y Cym (People of the Valley) and Rownd a Rownd (Round and Round) here in Wales and River City in Scotland, but they aren't shown nationally in the same way that the others are. Why would the whole of Britain (WALES, England, SCOTLAND and NORTHERN IRELAND) have EastEnders etc on at the same time if they are just 'English'?
Thanks for this! Eastenders used to play in the US. Im not sure if it still is or not. And don't forget The Archers -- the only radio soap that I know of still on the air-- BBC 4, I think.
@FunnyPranks Do you like The States version of Soap Operas better then the British version of Soap Operas, or do you like the British version of Soap Operas better then the The States version of Soap Operas ?
